Inverness Choral Society is the largest choir in the Highlands of Scotland and draws singers from a wide area around Inverness.  The Choral Society presents two main concerts every year, in Spring and Autumn. These usually take place at the impressive Eden Court Theatre in Inverness, and the concerts attract large audiences. The Inverness Choral Sinfonia frequently joins us in performances of the major choral works as well as lesser known choral music. Professional soloists always enjoy singing with us, whether they are well known names or talented singers at the start of their careers.

The conductor of the Inverness Choral Society is Gordon Tocher and the accompanist is Sheila Bruce.

Sad Notice:

We recently learnt of the death of our Honorary President, Allan Sellar OBE, JP.
The following tribute comes from our Chairman, Iain Mackintosh:

We have been fortunate to have had Allan Sellar as our Honorary President since 1999.  A Freeman of Inverness, Allan was involved in many things throughout his life:  an RAF pilot, travelling salesman, a health food shop owner,  ice cream seller and most significantly, Provost of Inverness from 1980 to 1999 save for a break of four years.

He was very supportive of the Choral Society and he and his wife Brenda would attend all of our concerts and then proceed to the after-show supper to entertain us with his excellent public speaking.  He was also a regular attender at our Annual General Meetings, giving us much support and advice.

He will be a great loss to us and our thoughts are with Brenda and family at this time.
