Sing with Russell Watson

FRIDAY 8th MAY 2015

The Choir has been invited to accompany well known tenor Russell Watson for the second half of his forthcoming concert at Eden Court. The choir will be on stage for approx one hour to join him in arrangements of 5 -6 songs including Va Pensiero (a version of the Slave Chorus from Nabucco),  Nessun Dorma from Puccini's Turandot, Toreador from Carmen and several others.

Gordon is willing to give some of our regular rehearsal time to preparing the songs.  Those taking part will then need to be at Eden Court from 4 o'clock on the afternoon of Friday 8th May, for rehearsal prior to the evening performance. Black clothing is required.

This is a great opportunity to promote ourselves to a different audience. The 60 participants needed have now been chosen by ballot.  Any questions to our Chairman John Long.

This will include choruses from MESSIAH as well as short pieces from the European Song Book
