Our next concert is at 7.30pm on Saturday 2nd November 2019 at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness. The programme will include Rossini's Stabat Mater and Vivaldi's Credo. In addition, our four young soloists will perform individual arias.
If you heard our last concert (on 27 April 2019) you'll have enjoyed the performances given by soprano Anna Heywood, mezzo soprano Beca Davies, tenor Glen Cunningham and bass-baritone Jacob Bettinelli (see 'Archive Information', left). We are delighted to welcome them back for our autumn concert.
First performed in Paris in 1842, Rossini's Stabat Mater has become a favourite with choirs and audiences since then. Operatic in style, it features many soaring melodies which give full rein to both chorus and soloists.
Tickets are available from Eden Court Theatre box office (click here) (www.eden-court.co.uk or 01462 234234). £17 or £8.50 for students and U16s. This includes Eden Court's booking fees.

2020 is a major milestone for the Society: our Centenary year. We shall be marking it with a performance on Saturday 9 May 2020 of the first work the newly-founded Society performed, back in 1920: Haydn’s The Creation. We know that many members have been looking forward to a return of this most joyful and singable of oratorios which is also very popular with audiences.
